As we all watched the election results come in it was apparent at some point late in the evening that Donald Trump was going to be the winner. Some cheered...some cried...some swallowed the basketball sized pit of anxiety and tried to get some sleep.

Waking up the next morning, I checked my phone to see if it had just been a nightmare but alas, it was real. The next couple days were spent trying to work through what this all means. For us as a country, for marginalized people, for the economy, and the world at large. Donald Trump is a tornado of chaos. It is was enables him to get away with so much. He comes through, ignoring norms, laws, and any semblance of decency. Meanwhile we are spending time telling each other that he can't do that and waiting for the consequences. They never come. What do we do now? Aside from yelling at people on the internet and getting used to the weight of the dread and anxiety we get to carry around for the next few years. The honest answer is that we push back where we can, help protect those who may be directly impacted, and take care of ourselves. It's going to be a long fight and we can't do it if we burnout or give up in a fit of hopelessness. Volunteer, Donate, Advocate. For every post you share or make, ensure that you are doing something. That there are tangible products of your anger and frustration. It won't seem like enough but small things from many people adds up. Our greatest enemy at this point is not Donald Trump or any of the clowns he surrounds himself with. It is apathy and hopelessness.

Stay involved - Stay mad - Stay hydrated

I intend to post here frequently to highlight resources and opportunities to do just that.

Stay safe.
